We are excited to be offering workshops and events at Leelanau Cheese! Our team has an extensive background in cheese education and is ready to share their knowledge and love of cheese making with you!
Mozzarella Workshop
On Friday, April 25th at 1pm Leelanau Cheese Company will be hosting a mozzarella making workshop! Master the art of hand stretched mozzarella! Our expert staff will demonstrate how to craft this satisfyingly simple cheese from local milk and a handful of basic ingredients. The secrets of this gastronomical wonder will unfold as you learn to stretch bocconcini, pull string cheese, and form burrata. In addition to the mozzarella you make in class, you’ll take home a rock-solid, repeatable recipe for home production.
The class will be held at our creamery at 1pm

Fromage Blanc Workshop
On Saturday, March 1st at 2pm Leelanau Cheese Company will be hosting a Fromage Blanc workshop to commemorate 30 years of cheesemaking! Learn first hand from our Cheesemakers how we make our delicious cheese spreads! You will be guided through the cheese making process, learning the science of what makes this cheese special and how it comes together. You will be shown how to create your own flavor from a variety of mix-in's, or make any of our signature flavors with your own twist! The Fromage you mix in class will be yours to take home to share with family and friends.

Sutton's Bay Yetti Fest
Join us downtown Suttons Bay for the annual Yetti Fest! There will be a soup cook off along with a variety of other activities happening all day in the village.
Shady Lane Cellars Raclette Melt
Chef Nik will be at Shady Lane Cellars for their WeinerSki event. We will be serving Raclette melted over beer brats on pretzel buns with sauerkraut and whole grain mustard! There will be live music, hot cocoa, wine pour deals, and Ski rental available through Suttons Bay Bikes. Grab a brat, a glass of wine, and ski the vineyard!
